JoeQ
owns and operates an attractive, comfortable, well-equipped
studio in Nyack (Rockland County),
NY, a half hour north of NYC. But JoeQ
is more than a studio, more than a room full of gear.
He is a Facilitator of audio dreams. He is an Enabler
to those with a Recording Problem.
The Nyack studio is set up for overdubbing,
editing, mixing and mastering. An acoustically treated
live area is adjacent to a well equipped Control Room.
Featuring the latest generation Pro Tools HD
system, there is plenty of power for even the most complex
of mixes and world-class sound quality. Top microphones,
preamps, compressors and other outboard gear are rounded
out by Vintage Ludwig drums, classic keyboards and amps.
The
Secret Weapon of the studio is JoeQ
himself. An Audio Engineer for over 25 years, JoeQ
brings a world of experience and an artistic musical
sensibilty to your project. From tracking heavy metal
guitars to mixing original rock songs to editing nuanced
classical music performances, JoeQ’s
Audio Engineering and Pro Tools skills are a cut above.
His skills as a musician mean he understands where musicians
are coming from and he speaks the language. His experience
as a producer gives you rock solid assistance and anticipation
even if you are producing yourself.
One of JoeQ's
main specializations is Mixing. Many
artists bring their tracks to JoeQ,
even if they were recorded elsewhere. While home studios
proliferate and more and more musicians get into self-recording,
when it comes time to turn those tracks into a mix that
sounds like a record, only the work
of an experienced professional will do. Special
flat rates are available for unattended mixes
and satisfaction is guaranteed.
Have JoeQ
mix your song. You can't lose!
For tracking larger
ensembles and sessions that require acoustic piano,
JoeQ is affiliated with nearby Pro Tools studio Rockland
Recording.
Remote
recording for classical, rock and jazz is also available.
Up to 16 tracks of live recording are available.

“Don’t
shop for a studio by looking at their equipment
list. Meet the engineer, listen to work that he
has done. The person turning the knobs will have
much more effect on the quality of your project
than the brand names stamped on those knobs.”
“The
key to getting a warm sound in digital recording
is to get the sound right on the way in to the
computer. Microphone selection and placement and
preamplifier choice are critical. I always prefer
to go for the Real Deal, even though it means
committing to a ‘sound’ early in the
process. Only an experienced engineer can commit
to a sound because he understands how it will
all fit together later at mixdown.” |
